Work continues on bringing a 37-mile commuter rail line to Tarrant County and The T looks forward to making significant progress on TEX Rail in 2012.

In the fall of 2011, a key milestone was reached when all documentation for requesting federal funds and entry into Preliminary Engineering was officially submitted.  In 2012, another critical step will begin when the final environmental analysis will be kicked-off. Public meetings to update people on the progress of the environmental analysis are being planned for later this spring.
